Bench Jeweler (Hourly, Contract) — Fine Jewelry Finishing/Stone Setting

Location: Grand Rapids, MI area (home studio/shop preferred)

About the Role

We're a growing fine jewelry business looking for an experienced bench jeweler to handle finishing work and stone setting on an hourly, contract basis. This is a flexible arrangement well-suited to someone who works out of a home studio/shop and wants reliable, ongoing project work.

What You'll Do

- Finish fine jewelry pieces after casting (polishing, cleanup, stone setting as needed)

- Work from provided specs and reference pieces to match our quality standards

- Communicate realistic turnaround times, especially during high-volume periods

- Handle customer pieces (precious metals, diamonds, gemstones) with care and accountability

What We're Looking For

- Proven bench jewelry experience — finishing, polishing, and/or stone setting

- Home studio with appropriate equipment

- Comfortable with an hourly, project-based working relationship

- Reliable communication and turnaround estimates

- Ability to handle valuable customer property responsibly
